Louise Toler

Martha Louise Toler passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on September 27, 1940, in Cordele, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Ruth Vaughn.

Louise was an Atlanta native, and called Mableton, Georgia home, where she lovingly raised her family and dedicated many years to driving a school bus for the Cobb County School System. Louise found joy in bowling throughout her life, and her unwavering loyalty to the Atlanta Braves painted her as their number one fan until her final days.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry L Toler, Sr., her daughter, Cathy L Head, and her siblings Terry Vaughn, Johnny Vaughn, Margie Gunter, and Ruth Ann Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Lamar (Priscilla) Toler, Jr. and James Gregory (Rhonda) Toler, Sr., sister, Irma Chaffin, brothers, Jerry Vaughn and Timmy Vaughn,  9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. A funeral service honoring Louise's life will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Sam Clark Chapel, with Junior Toler officiating. Martha's final resting place will be at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, Georgia, immediately following the funeral service. Pallbearers for the occasion will be Greg Toler, Jr., Craig Toler, Michael Head, Mark Head, Cody Toler, and Jerry Toler.

Louise's legacy of warmth and inclusion lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was not just a matriarch; she was "everybody's Maw Maw," extending her love and care to all who crossed her threshold.
