Mrs. Martha Thompson, age 84 of Acworth, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born September 7, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Jack Lucas Miller and the late Lottie Hunziker Miller.

She was a member of Mars Hill Presbyterian Church of Acworth and for over 30 years worked as an administrative assistant at Bank of America, where she was known for her cheerful demeanor and ability to brighten anyone's day. Her passion for butterflies, cooking, and flowers mirrored her vibrant personality. She enjoyed working in her garden and was always looking for the beauty in the world around her. She loved her family and friends, and had a deep love for her granddaughter, Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Faith Ward; and three brothers, Herbert Miller, Thomas Miller and John Miller.

She is survived by a son, Tim Thompson and his wife Margie; granddaughter, Taylor Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Elva Miller and Yvonne Miller; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00am at Mars Hill Presbyterian Church of Acworth with Pastor Will Shurley and Pastor Bryant Harris officiating. A private interment service will follow.
