Martha Jane Smith Sims, youthful age 80, of Carrollton, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 8, 1940 to her late parents, Ray and Lillian Smith. Mrs. Sims was a business owner for years, but considered caring and nurturing for her family and friends as her legacy. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many who will be forever, in our hearts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Smith.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of more than 52 years, William F. Sims, son; Steve Golden and his wife Darlene, daughters; Cindy Cochran and her husband Darrell, Kelli Sims Weaver, grandchildren; Kayla Register and her husband Josh, Elisabeth Eaves and her husband Jamie, Brady Cochran, Lauren Gulledge and her husband Perry, Matthew Weaver, Andrew Weaver, great-grandchildren; Ella Jane Register, Jackson Eaves, Juliana Cochran, Hadley Eaves, Grant Register, Reese Gulledge, Charlie Register, Lillian Eaves, Molly Gulledge, and many family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sims will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 1:40 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Nana’s Mission. Mrs. Sims was a “Nana” to many. Her family plans to continue her mission by blessing others in the community during this Christmas season.
