Martha Ann Hardin Boggs was born on February 23, 1942, and went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was married to Barron Gene Boggs for twenty-three wonderful years.
Martha Ann was affectionately known as "Nanny" and "Mot Mot." For ten years, she worked at the Winn Dixie Corporate Office. Martha Ann was a wonderful Christian lady who loved her Lord and everyone she met. She was a faithful, loving wife, sweet sister, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother.
Martha Ann was a faithful member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Austell, Georgia, until her health failed, and she could no longer attend services.
Martha Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her third child, William Clyde Jr.; daughter, Vicky Hester; and first husband, Police Chief Clyde Hardin.
Martha Ann is survived by her husband, Barron Gene Boggs, who took great care of her for 22 months; her brothers Reverend Larry Ritch and Reverend Paul Ritch; her son, Rick (Maria) Hardin; 26 grandchildren and several great, great-grandchildren.
Martha Ann graciously displayed the love of Jesus to everyone and will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for her. Thank you, hospice team of Trinity, for your wonderful care!
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Boggs will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 20, 2023. Prior to funeral services, Mrs. Boggs will lie in state for visitation from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Her service will begin at 1:00pm with Reverend Keith Boggs and Dr. Steve Cape officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
