Maria Rosa Romero, age 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on August 1, 2026. Born on August 19, 1936, in Huizúcar, El Salvador, to the late Jose Antonio Romero and the late Maria Julia Castillo, Maria leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and devotion to family.
Maria was a dedicated housekeeper, proudly serving at the Avanti NJ and at the Sheraton Hotel in Nashua, NH for over five years, where her hard work and commitment made a lasting impact on those she served. She embodied the spirit of perseverance and resilience, demonstrating incredible strength throughout her life.
Maria's Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her existence; she prayed the rosary diligently at 3:00 AM and 3:00 PM every day. Her devotion set a wonderful example for her family and reflected her unwavering commitment to her beliefs. Maria loved the beach and often enjoyed traveling back to her homeland of El Salvador, where her heart found peace amidst the ocean waves. She had a passion for gardening, expressing her love of nature through her favorite flowers-roses and marigolds-and enjoyed the mental challenge of puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her loving husband, Julio Antonio Menjivar, her son Rafael Romero, and all thirteen of her siblings.
Family was of utmost importance to Maria. She is survived by her loving children: Jose Menjivar, David Menjivar, Carlos Romero, Yanira Koch (Shawn), Julie Menjivar (Jose Navarro), Luz Menjivar de Gonzalez (Henrri Gonzalez), and Leticia Menjivar de Aleman (Godofredo Aleman). She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly and taught to draw, among many other joys.
In honor of her life and faith, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, GA, on August 8, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Visitation will take place at Clark Funeral Home on August 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at Pudding Memorial Gardens.
Maria Rosa Romero will be remembered as a pillar of strength, love, and faith, whose legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
