Mrs. Margie Atkins, age 79, of Hiram, GA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. She was born on January 27, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Earl & Myrtle Gable.
Margie was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved the Lord. She was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Church and loved Gospel music. Margie's faith was evident all her life as she was a faithful prayer warrior, read her devotionals, and wrote in her journal. She was always one up for a good laugh, as we have always heard, "Laughter is the best medicine".Margie enjoyed growing flowers and baking, but most of all, family time was so important to her.
Margie is survived by her daughters, Gwen Crawford (Robert), Michelle Fennell-Battles (Jack), and Tracie Johnston; grandchildren, Josh Fennell (Bridget), Meagan Morris (Andrew), Lukas Crawford (Maddie), Kyle Crawford (Kylie), Daniel Crawford, Kenzie Crawford, Corey Johnston, and Daniel Johnston ( Hailey); great-grandchildren, Blake Fennell, Chloe Fennell, Kambrie Morris, River Crawford, Ridge Crawford, Kohen Crawford, Paislee Johnston, Raelynn Johnston, and Ryder Johnston; and her sister, Virgina.
In keeping with Margie's wishes, she was cremated. The family will celebrate her life with a visitation on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Ga from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Jim McAdams and Pastor Joe McAdams officiating.
