Margaret Irene Chapman

Margaret Irene Chapman passed away December 5, 2021 at the age of 81. She was born August 23, 1940 to the late Grady and Clara Justis in Atlanta, GA. In 1956 she married the love of her life, Gerald Chapman, and together they raised three children, Rick, Brian and Debbie. Margaret loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were absolutely everything to her. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Yorkville. She loved her TV, Days of Our Lives being her all time favorite show. She was an Atlanta Braves fan, loved sweets, enjoyed traveling with her sisters, and just loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Margaret is preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Ender Chapman; parents, Grady and Clara Justis; and sisters, Joyce (Lester) Martin, Barbara (Bill) Martin, and Peggy (Bevis) Southern. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gerald Chapman; sons, Rick (Catrice) Chapman, and Brian (Jennifer) Chapman; daughter, Debbie (Tim) McMichen; brother, Steve (Diane) Justis; sister, Judy Smart; grandchildren, Justin McMichen, Kristen (Phillip) Holloway, Matthew (Rebecca) Chapman, Courtney (Taylor) Miles, Maverick (Bree) Chapman, Penney Chapman, Jaylin Hunt; and great-grandchildren, Casen Holloway, Colten Holloway, Addyson Miles, and Nolen Miles.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 10, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Highway, Hiram, GA 30141, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Immediately following visitation, funeral services will be held at 2:00pm at Clark Funeral Home with her son, Rick Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, 11261 Veterans Memorial Highway, Douglasville, GA 30134.
