Mrs. Lorraine C. Sargent, age 94, of Hiram, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2006. She was born on December 25, 1911 in Toronto, South Dakota to the late Adelbert and Cora Bixby. She was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sargent was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Sargent.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Jo Ann Sargent of Dallas; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Condra officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
