Loretta Bartley Pittman

Mrs. Loretta Rachel Bartley Pittman, age 89, of Hiram, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026. She was born July 7, 1937, in Mount Airy, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clyde Bartley and the late Mary Jane Payne Bartley.

She was a graduate of Beulah High School of Mount Airy, North Carolina, and after graduation attended business college in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For over 30 years, she worked as an office administrator at McLean Trucking Company, where she brightened the office with her warm smile and kind spirit. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church of Hiram.

A lover of animals and nature, she spent countless hours working in her garden. Loretta was also an avid painter, often inspired by her beloved trips to the mountains, especially the Blue Ridge Parkway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Leslie Pittman, on September 29, 2026.

She is survived by a stepson, Phillip Leslie Pittman, Jr.; stepdaughter, Diana (Mark) Jones; two step- grandchhildren, Amanda Dyer and Hannah Freeman; two step-great-grandchildren, John Mark Dyer and Aubrey Dyer; a niece, Laura Faye Goings, and three great-nieces, Laura Renee Goings, Lynn Goings and Betty Sue Goings.

A memorial service to celebrate both Phillip and Loretta's life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bethel Methodist Church.
