Lorena Self, age 87, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1927 to the late Roy & Birdie Lindsey, and was a member of Revival Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, James Hubert Self; sons, Thomas Maynor, & Bobbie Joe Maynor; grandsons, David Smith, & Jamie Scoggins; brothers, Junior Lindsey, & Gene Lindsey; and sisters, Elizabeth Sue Loveless, & Bonnie Kilgore.
Survivors include, sons & daughters-in-law; James & Debbie Self of Powder Springs, GA, Ricky & Diane Self of Powder Springs, GA; daughter, Teresa Scoggins of Powder Springs, GA; daughter-in-law, Donna Maynor ; brothers, Bobbie Lindsey of Rome, GA, & Donald Lindsey of Cedartown, GA; sisters, Mary Boston of Cartersville, GA, Marie Cromer of Rome, GA, & Betty Costlow of Taylorsville, GA; 9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Johnny Ivey, Pastor Donald Lindsey, & Roger Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens in Powder Springs, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
