Lloyd L. Lewallen of Dallas, GA passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 76. Lloyd was born February 17, 1945 in Branson, MO to the late Bert and Edna Lewallen. In 1986 he married the love of his life, Rhonda Thompson Lewallen, and together they raised two wonderful children, Jeff and Heather. Lloyd worked for over 50 years for Herchend Family Enterprise, and he also served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Lloyd had a zeal for life, greatly enjoying fishing and gardening. He had a beautiful home and property that he took great pride in, with a serene lake where he loved to fish and enjoy time with family and friends. It wasn't uncommon to find him feeding the deer native to his land. He absolutely loved the outdoors and all its many wonders. Above all, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He adored his wife, Rhonda. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Edna Lewallen; and three of his siblings, Richard Lewallen, Norma Collins, and Shirley Sparks. He is survived by his dear wife of 35 years, Rhonda Lewallen; son, Jeff (Jamie) Lewallen; daughter, Heather (Rich) Stewart; brothers, Larry (Peggy) Lewallen, Billy Joe (Judy) Lewallen, Rodney (Jackie) Lewallen; grandchildren, Hanna Lewallen, Kirsten Lewallen, Patrick Kenney, Marra Kenney, Kemp Stewart, and Meagan Stewart; mother-in-law, Betty Thompson; brothers-in-law, Chris (Page) Thompson, and Todd (Stephanie) Thompson; and many extended family and close friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Highway, Hiram, GA 30141, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home at 11:00am with Sonny Horton, Brother Jimmy Driskell, and Brother Chris Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery, 9199 Buchanan Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157, with Brother Todd Thompson speaking at the graveside. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Baker, Brandon O'Neill, Eddie Monroe, Wesley Thompson, Taylor Baker, and Colton Post.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Operation Not Forgotten , which is a Veteran Support Group in Paulding County.
