Leonard Palmer

Mr. Leonard Earl Palmer, Sr., age 83 of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was born November 9, 1941 in Gainesville, GA, to the late Burly Bunion Palmer and the late Lillie Mae Ward Palmer.

Mr. Palmer was a retired supervisor having worked 42 years for Millbrook Distribution Services and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Powder Springs. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially loved fishing, mowing his yard and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sikorski.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Delores Evans Palmer to whom he was married September 16, 1960; daughter, Kimberly Pope; son, Leonard Earl Palmer, Jr. and his wife Kristy; eight grandchildren, Brooke, Lauran, Leah, Lendy, Rachel, Philip, Olivia and Lane; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Lacey and Ivey; sister, Helen (Marvin) Holland; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Donald) Walden and Dale (Bill) Turnipseed; brother-in-law, Jim (Teresa) Evans; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00PM in the Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Justin G. Hayles and Pastor Snyder Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Gardens of Lithia Springs.
