Leonard Wendell Cooper

Wendell Cooper passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1934, son of the late Thomas Leonard Cooper and Laverne McClung Cooper in Hiram, Georgia. He worked for the Railroad for over 25 years. Wendell loved Jesus, his family, farming, and animals.

In addition to his parents, Wendell is preceded in death by his son Vernon Wendell Cooper . He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Cooper; 1 daughter, Cindy Atcheson, of Villa Rica; 4 grandkids, Blake and Brad Lawson; and Rachel and Holly Murphy; Michelle Bryant, and Terri Githens; 18 great-grandkids.


The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A graveside service for Wendell will be held at Peaceful Meadows on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M., with Bro. Fred Coalson officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wendell's honor towards your favorite charity.
