Eddie McCollough

Mr. Eddie McCollough, age 81 of Acworth, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was born May 31, 1944, in Lanett, Alabama, son of the late Rueben McCollough and the late Laverne Earl McCollough.

He retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation with 45 years of service. A true servant of God, he loved serving his church. He had been an ordained deacon for 41 years, having been Chairman of Deacons at New Hope First Baptist Church and Unity Baptist Church, of which he was a charter member. He served as a volunteer fireman for the community of New Hope in Paulding County in the 1970's. Always on the go, he enjoyed being with his family, camping, boating and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Eady McCollough; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Chase Brock and Brandi and Stuart Reynolds; eight grandchildren, Hunter (Kelly) Brock, Trevor Brock, Travis Brock, Heather Brock, Kolby Reynolds, Kallen Reynolds, Alayna Reynolds, and Natalie (Steven) Sale; great-grandson, Flynn Brock; four sisters, Rudine Hudson, Ruth Faltesek, Kay Barron, and Angeline Trammel; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Funeral services for Mr. McCollough will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Don Voyles officiating. Interment service will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens with his grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Unity Baptist Building Fund, 431 Mustang Drive, Dallas, GA 30157, to help with church maintenance.
