Larry Dean Sims, age 69, of Sandy Springs, GA, passed away on March 23, 2017. He was born on April 27, 1947, in Hiram, GA to the late Willis Eugene & Mildred Sims. Mr. Sims was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. He retired as a business controls manager from IBM after 41 years of service as an accountant.
Survivors include, partner, Iola Dean of Roswell, GA; nieces, Delores Birdsong of Dallas, GA, Cynthia Sims Simmons of Dallas, GA, Cheryl Arnold of Douglasville, GA, Lisa Lackey of Marietta, GA, and Mildred Macmuletry of Powder Springs, GA; nephews, Josh & Priscilla Sims of Dallas, GA, Ricky & Kathy Sims of Hiram, GA, Edward Lackey of Hiram, GA, Hughland Lackey of Marietta, GA, and Jackson Lackey of Dallas, GA; sister-in-law, Lyvonia Sims of Dallas, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 1 PM, from Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, with Mr. Josh Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
