Larry Chandler

Mr. Larry Eugene Chandler, age 75 of Austell, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.

He was born August 20, 1948, In Macon, the son of the late Letus Washington Chandler and the late Frances Wood Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Christian Faith. He was an avid builder having been self-employed in the construction industry for over 40+ years. He traveled to all 50 states having visited the different state parks. He enjoyed photography, reading, and food. He was also an avid hiker who loved walking outdoors in old and new places. Larry had a great love for his family and would do anything for them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Aiken Chandler; sister Linda Chandler; brother, Jerry Chandler; brother-in-law, Sonny Aiken; and mother and father-in-law, Orville and Vernetta Aiken.

He is survived by a daughter, B. Gossage of Norcross; three brothers, Charles Chandler of Locus Grove and Lee Chandler and Danny McCay both of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Terry Owens of Dallas, two step-sisters, Lavona Chandler and Lynn Chandler both of Macon; sister-in-law, Nancy Aiken; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

The memorial service for Mr. Chandler will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard in the Sam Clark Chapel with Rev. Don Rackley officiating.
