Kenneth "Kenny" Murphy passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born March 3, 1954 to the late Clarence and Estelle Murphy in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Murphy owned Butler Automotive Repair in Powder Springs, Ga and was a member of Fortified Hills Baptist Church in Dallas, GA. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Blue Ridge mountains and old classic cars! He also loved his dog, Bailey. Along with being a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, he was known to many as "Pop Pop".
Mr. Murphy is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Estelle Murphy; brother, George Murphy; and sister, Betty Rhindress. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sharon Murphy; sons, Nic (Jenna) Richards, and Josh Murphy; daughter, Breanna (Chris) Flowers; sister, Linda (Ralph) McCullers; honorary grandchild, Jeremiah Boyer; and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Hwy., Hiram, GA 30141, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Services in his memory will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Fortified Hills Baptist Church, 4705 E. Paulding Drive, Dallas, GA 30157, at 2:00pm with Pastor Josh Price officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Following the service, per Mr. Murphy's wishes, he will be cremated.
