Kathryn Prater

Kathryn C. Prater, age 75, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. She was born on January 2, 1940, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the late Daniel and Viola Crooks. She worked at Chevron Oil Company as a secretary for many years and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Malcolm Prater of Dallas, GA; daughters, Charlyn Prater of Norcross, GA, and LeeAnn & husband, Eric Benson of Dallas, GA; sister, Dorothy Doyle of Olive Branch, MI; granddaughters, Brittany Benson, Brandee Benson and Leah Benson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Don Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery in Ft. Payne, AL, on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 1 PM CST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
