Mr. Julius "Craig" Seymour, age 82, passed away on September 17, 2026. He was born on April 2, 1944, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Julius and Julia Seymour. He lived a life full of laughter, love, and dedication to his family and friends.
He was a very funny, loving, and caring man who never met a stranger. His warm personality, wonderful sense of humor, and gift for making everyone feel welcome brought happiness to all who knew him. He loved his family dearly and treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A proud Navy veteran, he served his country for 20 years and retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. While in the military, Craig was a helicopter and jet mechanic. His leadership and mentorship extended beyond his military career; he became a role model and father figure to many, especially as an awesome N.J.R.O.T.C. teacher and baseball coach. He continued his strong work ethic after retirement by owning and operating See More of Atlanta Inc., a camera and Access Control company that he owned for over 20 years.
A lover of the outdoors, Craig had a special fondness for Tybee Island and boating at Lake Allatoona, where he enjoyed many moments with loved ones. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he inspired those around him with his devotion to the Lord.
Along with his parents, Craig is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Seymour and Don Seymour.
Craig was a devoted husband to his wife, Marie Seymour, whom he was married to for an amazing 62 years. He also leaves behind his son, Jason (Tammy) Seymour; daughters, Sherrie (Doug) Appleby, and Michelle (Chris) Stotts; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on October 19, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery on October 20, 2026, at 12:30 PM.
Rest in peace, Craig; you will be deeply missed and forever loved.
