In Loving Memory of Judy Hardy

Judith “Judy” Ann Hardy, a loving mother and granny, passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on April 16, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Judith brought joy and love to everyone she knew throughout her incredible life.

Judy loved her family and thought they were her greatest blessing in life. She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dallas, Georgia where she loved to worship and praise the Lord. In her professional life, she was a Bus Driver for the Cobb County School System for over 14 years, where she was able to make a positive impact on the lives of countless children.

Judy’s vibrant spirit delighted in seeking thrills and embarking on new adventures. Whether it was discovering new places through travel, gardening, or finding solace in her favorite music, she lived with an undeniable zest for life.

Above all else, family was the foundation of Judy’s life. She took great pride in her role as the family matriarch, ensuring that love and support were always present. Her children and their spouses were her greatest joy, and she treasured each and every moment spent with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is Preceded in death by her parents; Marvin Galbraith and Dorothy Schooley, brother; Mark Galbraith, grandchild; Analise Powell, and a son-in-law; Keith Tomlinson

Judy leaves behind her cherished children; Barbara Tomlinson, Stephanie (Ronnie) Cook, Rhonda (Chuck)Stykes, Nancy (Phillip) Hyatt, Patti (Lamarr) Parker, Kary (Mike) Hensley, and Richard (Bobbie) Powell, Grandchildren; Stephanie, Robert, Joshua, Jennifer, Nate, Shannon, Amber, Doug, Jeremy, Jess, Jena, Drew, Kirsten, Autumn, Brittany, Kaylee, Michael, Faith, thirty-four great-grandchildren, brothers; Dean Rayburn, Don Rayburn, sisters; Sherry Thoreson, Phyllis Galbraith Jozaites, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Clark Funeral Home & Chapel on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM. The funeral service to honor Judy’s life will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Harold Weatherford Officiating. Judy will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Sweetwater Memorial Park.

The vibrant memories and unconditional love shared with Judy will forever be treasured by her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her. May she find eternal peace, and her spirit continues to inspire us all.
