It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce F. Westbrook, who went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 20, 1935, Joyce lived a life filled with love, faith, and a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone she met.
A devoted Christian, Joyce's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She cherished her family deeply and loved sharing stories about them, often brightening the day of those who were fortunate enough to listen. Her warmth extended beyond her family; Joyce had a special gift for connecting with everyone around her, always offering kindness and compassion.
Joyce found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for the mountains, often retreating to nature to find peace and solace. She delighted in watching and feeding the birds, cultivating a love for the beauty and tranquility they brought. Additionally, Joyce enjoyed coloring, a creative outlet that showcased her vibrant spirit.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Richard Westbrook; and her son, Odell Westbrook.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Vickie Lynn Westbrook and Brenda (Tony) Lee.
To honor her memory, a graveside service will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park on July 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. All who knew and loved her are invited to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed.
