Joyce Annette Walker

Joyce "Joy" Annette Walker passed away from natural causes on Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born on November 26, 1955, daughter of the late James and Judith Summers in Marietta, GA.

Joy grew up in Austell, GA and eventually moved to Dallas, GA where she raised her children. She worked at the Georgia Department of Revenue for 36 years as a regional manager. Joy was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandkids, who called her "Nana". Joy loved her wiener dogs. She enjoyed making jewelry and selling them at craft festivals. Joy was an avid sports fan and loved Alabama Football and the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by the love of her life of 25 years, Dennis Whitlow. She is survived by her son, Austin Reppin (Cristy Cline); a daughter, Amy Cooper and her husband Clay Cooper, a sister, Jill Summers Frazier; two grandsons, Cameron and Carson Cooper; two nephews, Tyler Burnette and Joey Frazier; her wiener dog Harry and numerous other family members.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral Service for Joy will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joy's honor towards the World Wildlife Foundation.
