Joseph Stillo, age 80, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009. He was born November 21, 1928, in Akron, Ohio, to the late, Phillip Stillo & the late, Celestine Justine Stillo. Mr. Stillo was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Nelson Stillo. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired after 37 years of service. Mr. Stillo was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Margaret Susan Hollis & Lance of Vinnings, GA; sons & daughter-in-law, Michael Stillo & Sharon of Powder Springs, GA and Jeffery Stillo & Myra of Powder Springs, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Madeline Eastep of Niles, OH, Connie Fredrick & Allen of Akron, OH and Annie Rivera & Victor of Springfield, OH; brother & sister-in-law, Dominic Stillo & Yolanda of Akron, OH; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, 2009, at 12:00 noon, from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
