Joseph Barry Harmon Jr., known to all as Barry, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the age of 53. Barry was born on October 29, 1972, in Atlanta, Georgia, to his loving parents, Joseph Harmon Sr. and Marina Roth. He spent his life surrounded by the warmth of family and friendship, calling Dallas, Georgia, home.
Barry took great pride in his work. When he wasn't working, he could often be found doing what he loved most - out hunting. He was a hard worker in every sense of the word - on the job and in the hearts of those who knew him. Always the friendly face in a crowd, Barry never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.
Family meant everything to Barry. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Windy Harmon, and a doting "girl dad" to his daughters, Ellie (Dudley) Gayton and Josie Harmon. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Aaron Gayton and Kennedy Gayton, and a supportive brother to Eric Harmon, Jennifer (Jeremy) Denton, and Ashton (Andrew) Wickersham. He also cherished his relationships with his sisters-in-law, Amy (Grant) Anglin and Angie Hayes, and his brother-in-law, Ronnie (Nancy) Smith. He wore the title "Uncle B" with pride, embracing his role as a fun-loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. His devotion to his family said everything about who he was.
Barry was preceded in death by his son, Jackson Cash.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating Barry's life will follow at 5:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel, with Brother Donnie Smith and Brother Billy Wood officiating.
We will miss you, Barry. You were a great husband, a loving father, an amazing friend, and an all-around incredible person. Rest easy.
