Johnnie Bell Skipper

Johnnie Bell Skipper, 81, passed away on September 5, 2026. Born on July 4, 1945, on a small sharecropping farm in Alabama to the late Samuel Preston and Jennie Grace Adams, Johnnie was their seventh child.

She has been a strength and blessing to her family. She excelled in every career she moved into but none more than wife, daughter, mother and grandmother teaching us all that faith in Jesus was for every trial and every success in life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Jerry Skipper.

Johnnie is survived by her three daughters, Sherry (Tom) Ginn, Jennie (Mark) LaVerne, Toni (James) Allison; nine grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Victory Baptist Church on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM, officiated by Pastor Larry Weaver. Burial will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
