Johnnie Bernard Bedwell

Johnnie Bernard Bedwell, 88, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on August 7, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1933, in Pikeville, TN to the late Sam and Nancy Jane Nail Bedwell.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War before working more than 30 years in the battery division of Johnson Controls. He was a soft spoken, yet wise man who enjoyed his days spent hunting and fishing. He believed in hard work even during his retirement and was always tending to his yard and woodworking. At the end of the day, something sweet and being surrounded by his family made him happiest. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah C. Howell Bedwell; son, Wendell (Michelle) Bedwell; daughter, Janice (William) Harrelson; brother, Arnold Bedwell; 4 grandchildren (Lance, Wendy, Sarah, Maggie); and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 12, at Paulding Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m.
