John Thomas Clough, III, age 75, of Dallas, GA, died Sunday, June 15, 2025. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, John was the son of the late John Thomas Clough, Jr. and Lily Maxine Clough.
John proudly served our country as a member of the United States Air Force, a commitment that shaped his character and instilled in him a deep sense of service to others. He was an active member of the American Legion over the years, from West Palm Beach, Florida to Post 70 in Villa Rica, Georgia, where he found camaraderie and joy in the U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club. He forged lasting friendships with fellow service members who shared his passion for adventure. Some knew him by his riding name, "Trash," which created some unique conversations.
John made lifelong friends in Edison, New Jersey where he played lead guitar with The Germs during his high school years. He enjoyed bowling, wood working and laser engraving, as well as the simple pleasure of watching movies.
John is survived by his two cherished daughters, Heather Rizo-Patron and Rebecca Black (Rick) from his marriage to Adella Clough; his sister, Judy Faro (Alfio); his grandson, Skyler; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by grandparents Elda and Edna Salkeld, and Anna and John Thomas Clough, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at the Sam Clark Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Dave Zerby officiating. Before the service, the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Following the Chapel service, John will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
