JoAnne Johnson of Dallas, GA passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 59. JoAnne was born in Commerce, GA on November 8, 1964. She worked as a cook in the restaurant industry, dedicating her time and skill to the Huddle House in Dallas. JoAnne's passion for cooking brought joy to all those who had the pleasure of sampling her dishes. As time allotted, JoAnne enjoyed riding horses, four-wheeler adventures, spending time with family, and with her tender heart toward animals she would care for any stray animal that came her way. Now to know JoAnne you knew she had a special spunk about her and always enjoyed a hearty laugh.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that will be carried on by her surviving relatives: mother, Myra Sue Coaty; sons, T.J. Thomason and wife Sarah, Nicholas Thomason and wife Carrie; sister, Susie Stripling and husband David; brother, George Poole, Jr.; and beloved grandchildren, Kiensley, Ashlen, Nolan, and Presley. Also mourning her loss are her niece, Mandi Donegan and nephew, Chad Chandler, along with other nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dogs. JoAnne was preceded in death by her father, George Poole, Sr.
In accordance with JoAnne's wishes she will be cremated and the family will celebrate her at a later date.
