Mr. Jimmy Douglas Dowd, age 74, passed away on September 25, 2026. He was born on July 25, 1952, in Jasper, Georgia, to the late Wilmer and Betty Dowd. He was known for his genuine spirit, unwavering loyalty to his favorite sports teams, and love for his family.

Jimmy was a passionate fan of the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He spent many joyful hours cheering for his teams, embodying the essence of a true sports enthusiast. In addition to sports, he relished his shopping trips to Ingles and had a particular fondness for Jack's biscuits, which brought him great comfort.

Jimmy was also an avid music lover, often immersing himself in the uplifting sounds of gospel and country music, which reflected his warm and spirited personality.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Bolin; his granddaughter, Madison Bolin; and his grandson, Brian Bolin Jr., all of whom will cherish his memory and influence in their lives.

In accordance with Jimmy's wishes, he will be cremated.

As we remember Jimmy, we take comfort in the memories of his laughter, love for sports, and cherished moments shared with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
