Jeta Allgood

July 10, 1938 — December 19, 2023

Jeta Jacqueline Allgood, a beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2023, in Hiram, Georgia. She was born on July 10, 1938, in Atlanta. Jeta was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Jeta exemplified compassion and warmth. She was a devoted Christian, finding solace in reading the Bible and drawing strength from her faith. Jeta's love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jeta also found joy in simple pleasures. She loved working in her yard, she loved flowers and in the early years, people would stop just to see her yard. She had a love for cooking and was known for her mouthwatering dishes that brought family and friends together. She also had a soft spot for feline companions and found great comfort in the company of her cats.

Music was another avenue where Jeta expressed herself. She had a natural gift for playing the piano and had a beautiful singing voice. Her melodies would fill the air, bringing comfort and joy to those around her.

Jeta was a caregiver and friend to many. Opening her doors to love, lots of love and care, and trying to show the right way.

In her younger years, Jeta was a friend to everyone she encountered. Her compassionate nature and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. She lent a listening ear, offered a helping hand, and showered those around her with love and support.

Jeta is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Edward Allgood, her parents, William Spencer, Jessie Quinn, her son, Dennis Keith Allgood, her daughter, Karan Janeen Allgood, her son-in-law, Billy Wayne Pritchard, and by her three grandchildren, Shawn Williams, Keith Allgood Jr., and James Lewis Allgood Sr.

Jeta is lovingly survived by her children, James Edward Allgood Jr. of Hiram, Christa Pritchard of Cedartown, Jessie Allgood of Hiram, and Benji Williams of Dallas. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sam Clark Funeral Home and Chapel. A service for Jeta will be Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00am at Sam Clark Funeral Home and Chapel with Brother Jeremy Van Pelt officiating. Jeta Jacqueline Allgood's legacy will live on through the memories and love she leaves behind. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those whose lives she touched. She will forever be remembered as a compassionate and remarkable woman, an adoring mother, and a friend to all.

May Jeta's soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who mourn her loss.
