Jessica Morris

Mrs. Jessica "Kitty" Morris passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 42. Kitty was born on July 3, 1983, in Lithia Springs, Georgia, to the late James Roscoe Thomas Sr. and Mrs. Peggie Lee Thomas. Kitty lived in Acworth, GA, where she touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. 

 Kitty was a Certified Nursing Assistant, a profession that beautifully reflected who she was at her core. She had a natural gift for caring for others and an instinct to show up wherever she was needed. Her kindness was not loud or performative-it was steady, genuine, and deeply felt by everyone she encountered.  

 Kitty loved the Lord, her family, and above all, her beloved son, James "Jet" Morris. Being Jet's mom was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every part of his life. She was a constant presence at Russom Elementary, where she eagerly volunteered, supported staff and students, and embraced the school as an extension of her family. Simply being there-helping, serving, and sharing in Jet's world-meant everything to her. She loved animals, and her Church, she was a true sister in Christ. She stood up for what she believed in and was the most outspoken person in the room. Everywhere she went, she made a friend.  

 Even on days when pain weighed heavily on her body, Kitty never let it diminish her generosity or her willingness to give. She would go out of her way to help others, offering whatever she could-her time, her energy, her compassion-without hesitation. Kitty's strength, faith, and selflessness left an imprint that will continue to be felt through the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.  

 Along with her father, Kitty is preceded in death by her daughter, Evangeline Morris; son, Wyatt Morris; grandparents, Ora Lee and Paul Pence; and nephew, Xavyer Thomas. 

 She is survived by her loving husband, Allen Morris; her son, James "Jet" Morris; her mother, Peggie Thomas; her brothers, James Thomas Jr. and Jessie (Amanda) Thomas; and her beloved animals, including Beta, who remained by her side. Kitty's heart embraced all living things, and although she said goodbye to her fur babies, Chopper, Rogue, and Kid, their memories will forever be with her family. 

 Funeral services for Jessica "Kitty" Morris, age 42, of Acworth, Georgia, will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Whitworth Memorial Baptist Church. Kitty will be placed in-state at the church at 1:00 pm. 

 The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 pm.
