Jesse Henry Williams

Jesse H. Williams was born on January 1, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph M. Williams and Annie Mae Williams. Jesse was the fifth of seven children. Mr. Williams attended Lincoln Elementary School in Dixmoor, Illinois and McKinley School in Harvey, Illinois. Jesse attended St. Suzanne Catholic Church and later Ascension Catholic Church. After graduating from Thornton Township High School in 1969, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. From 1972 until 1973 he was a military police officer. After duty in the Army, Jesse remained in Northern California where he met and married Lillian Borella. He then began a career with the U.S. Postal Service in 1976 and remained for 28 years. Jesse retired from the postal service and moved to Fontana, California. In 2008 he moved to Dixmoor, Illinois where he lived during the early years of his life until 2013 when he moved to Georgia. He resided in Georgia until 2018 when he relocated back to California. Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Joseph who passed in 1991.

Mr. Williams is survived by his mother, Annie Mae Williams; sisters, JoAnn (James) Sampson, Yvonne (Steven) Jackson, Owusu (Johari) Hodari; brothers, Joseph E. (Nina) Williams Jr., Ronald L. (Cynthia) Williams, and Halifu Paul (Lynn) Williams; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 11:00 until 1:00.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who may be unable to attend the service in person due to Covid-19 concerns.
