Jerry Wilson

Jerry David Wilson passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. He was born on September 8, 1940, son of the late Dalbert and Ruth Wilson in Kings Mountain,North Carolina.

Jerry was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan, always cheering on his favorite team with unwavering loyalty. When he wasn't rooting for the Bulldogs or Braves, you could find him casting a line and enjoying the tranquility of fishing or camping with his wife. He had a genuine love for nature and cherished every moment spent in its embrace.

Jerry will always be remembered for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He possessed a knack for finding joy in the simplest moments and had a joke for any occasion. His laughter was contagious, brightening the lives of those around him.

With a big heart and a generous spirit, Jerry touched the lives of many.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by two sisters; Martha Frances, and Linda W. Smith and a daughter; Stella Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Wilson; three children; Teresa, Ronnie and David; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, December 01, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service for Jerry will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Troy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery with Brennon Coffey, Justin Johnston, Dylan Mims, Ashton Phillips, Scottie Henson, Carlos Rivera, Matt Coppola and Kenneth Driskell serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family to help with Jerry's final expenses.
