Janice Reno, beloved mother, sister, and cherished friend, died Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 13, 1951, in Los Angeles, CA, Janice was the daughter of the late Frank and Stella Napier. Janice was a secretary with the Georgia Department of Agriculture before retiring from State Service.
Janice was a proud member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where she found solace in her faith, which guided her through her life, and she forged many lifelong friendships within her church family. Janice had an artistic touch; she enjoyed painting, sewing, and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that warmed the hearts of those around her. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her grandson, Reno; their bond was impeccable.
Janice is survived by her devoted daughter, Julie and her husband Matthew Ramsey, her grandson Reno Ramsey, her brothers and sisters, Rick and his wife Cheryl Napier, Rita and her husband Bob Newman, and Beverly Hughes, all of whom will miss her dearly. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Reno; her daughter, Michele Reno; and her siblings, Mark Napier, Betty Gibbel, Marvin John Napier, Frank Napier Jr., and Donald Napier.
A funeral service honoring Janice's life will take place on September 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, Janice will be laid to rest at 3:00 p.m. in Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Janice to the Helping Hands of Paulding County at www.hhpcga.org
