James Warner

January 9, 1964 — December 3, 2023

James Michael Warner, 59, passed away peacefully at his home on December 3, 2023, after an 18-month battle with a glioblastoma brain tumor. Jim was born on January 9, 1964, in Atlanta Georgia.

Jim was a former Police Officer. He started his career in Law Enforcement first with the City of Atlanta and then to Forest Park Police Department where he grew up and became a Lieutenant. In 2013, after moving to Paulding County, he became a Sheriff's Deputy with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

He left Law Enforcement to pursue his love and passion for horses. He worked with many people teaching them to ride and learning the ropes of ranching. Managing a Feed Store allowed him to meet and become close friends with some amazing people that he cared very much for. He loved being a Cowboy.

Jim is preceded in death by his brother, David Warner, and his father James Warner.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Warner, children, Blake Warner, Lisa Lewis, and Leslie Cochran, his mother, Donna Warner, his five grandchildren, his sister, Jennifer Fuller and his brother, Daniel Warner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a gathering of Family and Friends on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
