James "Jim" W. Primm Jr.

James "Jim" W. Primm Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on January 30, 1937, in Nashville, TN, Jim was the son of the late James, Sr. and Eunice Primm.

A proud Navy veteran, Jim served his country with honor before embarking on a successful career as an insurance agent. For 47 years, he assisted clients, earning their trust and respect through his dedication and ethical work habits.

Jim was a kind and gentle soul who cherished every moment spent with his wife, Charlotte, and their children: Jamie Primm (Tonya), Karen Sherman (Ron), Angie Sanders (Doug), Todd Wilson (Marty), Karen McMichael (Steve) and Kim Benfield (Mike). His warmth and sense of humor were a source of joy for his family and the many lives he touched. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great- grandchildren, sisters, Elizabeth Clemons and Charleen Brunner (Brian), who will remember him fondly.

In addition to his family, Jim was an active member of The Church at Liberty Square, where he found fellowship and purpose within his community. His passions included traveling, solving puzzles, and spending time with loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

The family will gather to celebrate Jim's life with a funeral service at Sam Clark Chapel on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Clark Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Jim will be laid to rest at Crestlawn Memorial in Atlanta. Serving as pallbearers are: Kerry Outen, Matthew Outen, Mike Benfield, Ronnie Sherman, Steve McMichael, and Ty Norton.

His gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jim's memory to St. Judes Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org
