James Eugene Wilson

James "Gene" Wilson passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. He was born on August 17, 1928 in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1946 he enlisted in the Air Force and served until 1949. Gene lived in Anniston, Alabama and married the love of his life, Rosa Lee Jennings on August 24, 1949 in Haralson County, GA. They had two children, Allan and Linda. He worked General Motors for 32 years. Gene was a loving father and husbnd. Gene will always be remembered as having a wonderful sense of humor and love to tell jokes.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents; William Curry and Ellanor Louise Short Wilson; his wife of 73 years; Rosa Lee Jennings Wilson and a granddaughter Tammy Wilson. He is survived by a son, Allan Wilson (Jackie); a daughter, Linda Holloway (Mitchell); and grandchildren, Tim Wilson, Shawna and Melvin Pierce, Tiffany and Tadd Danner, Hope and Matt Zittel and great-grandchildren, Max Wilson, Sam Zittel, Madelyn Zittel, Skylar Pierce, Jayden Pierce, Ryder Danner and Haven Danner.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 05, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral Service for James will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday January 5, 2023 AT 1:00 PM with Pastor Major Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
