James Anthony Bush

August 20, 1961 — October 21, 2026

Mr. Jimmy Bush, age 65, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026. He was born August 20, 1961, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Carmilla Rodie Roberson and the late Henry Dean Bush.

He was a salesman in the lumber industry, having worked for Wheeler Lumber, where his infectious enthusiasm and dedication made him a cherished member of his team. He had a love for cars, especially his 1968 Camaro SS, which he proudly showcased at car shows around the area. A true Georgia Bulldog fan, he loved to collect memorabilia, proudly displaying his treasures and sharing stories. Known for his wonderful smile and a knack for telling a good joke, Jimmy had a way of making any gathering a little brighter with his big sense of humor. Outside of work, he loved nothing more than his boat and being on the water.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Beth Mitchell Bush; brother, Henry Michael Bush; and a brother-in-law, Hank Cobb.

Survivors include his mother, Carmilla Roberson; sister, Lisa Cobb; niece, Haley (Chris) Kupcewicz; nephew, Dustin (Madison) Cobb; and great-nieces, Dottie, Billie and Frankie.

A memorial visitation for Jimmy will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon. An inurnment service will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family encourages everyone to wear red and black to celebrate his life and remember the passion he had for the University of Georgia football.
