Irma H. Worthan

Irma H. Worthan, age 82, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 29, 1938 in Dallas, GA, to her late parents, Odis and Myrtle Hicks. Mrs. Worthan was retired from Paulding County School Systems, where she had worked as a Bus Monitor for many years. She was a faithful member of Beulahland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Iva Parks, Hassel Hicks, Mary Ann Sims, Paul Hicks, Helia Wyatt, Judy Ellison, Helen Norris.

Mrs. Worthan is survived by her loving husband, Walter Worthan of Rockmart, GA, daughers; Wanda Austin and her husband, Mike of Douglasville, GA, Connie Worthan- Lewellen of Dallas, GA, Stacey Keener and her husband, Lee of Dallas, GA, brother in law, Robert Ellison of Rockmart, GA, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Worthan will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from the chapel of Clark Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kent Bankston officiating. Interment will follow the service at Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time) If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Worthan safe.
