Howard Eugene Ledbetter

Howard Eugene Ledbetter, 66, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on June 28, 2024. Gene, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a United States Air Force Veteran and proudly served his country. Gene was known for his passion for Atlanta Braves baseball, his enthusiasm for UGA Football, and his love for playing softball. His sense of humor and jovial nature made him a jokester and hilariously funny person to be around. He was always kind and had a heart of gold.

Having retired from Supply One as a warehouse manager, Howard will be remembered for his dedication and hard work.

Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cheryl Hubbard Ledbetter; father, Hiram Wesley Ledbetter; his mother, Juanita Mauldin Ledbetter; and his brother, Jimmy Ledbetter.

Those left to cherish Gene’s memory are his daughter, Kesha Ledbetter; his sisters and brother-in-law, Jacqueline A Brown and Deborah and Ricky Holland; grandchildren, Travis (Amanda) Sweat, Matthew Sweat, and Kaitlyn Sweat; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Brantley, Brayleigh, Jesse, Star, and Weston; and, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 pm with Reverend Don Rackley officiating.
