Herman Lee Tidwell

Herman Lee Tidwell passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born on September 7, 1941, to the late Claude and Emma Brown Tidwell in Douglasville, GA. He worked at Malbon for over 17 years. Herman loved anything to do with cars, especially working on old ones and NASCAR. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Herman is preceded in death by his sisters; Frances Morris and Pauline Kirby, brother; Paul Tidwell, and brother-in-laws; Wilson Morris and Winfred Morris. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Glenda Sue Tidwell, daughters; Gwen (Eric) Morris of Rockmart, GA, and Penny Brown and Randy of Temple, GA, brothers; Harold Tidwell, Donald (Joann) Tidwell of Cartersville, GA, and Horace (Ann) Tidwell of Whitesburg, GA; sister, Sue (Truman) Sosebee of Dallas, GA; 5 grandkids; 6 great-grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.


The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Morris Officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery with Joshua Whisner, Blair Whisner, Anthony West, Shane Brown and Taylor Brown serving as pallbearers.
