Harold Nelson
September 21, 1918 — October 8, 2009
Harold Nelson, age 91, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2009. The son of the late, Mr. & Mrs. Willis Nelson, he was born September 21, 1918 in Cobb County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola M. Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Boomershine Pontiac as a body and fender mechanic for 40 years and was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Mableton.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Jane Nelson of Tallapoosa, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Ellen & Rick Surber of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Jamie Chastain and Blake Surber; great-grandchild, Sidney Surber; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 10:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
