It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Greta Adams, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on August 30, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on March 7, 1973, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Richard and Gertie Guyton. Greta resided in Buchanan, Georgia, where she lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
Greta was a treasured homemaker whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donny Adams, as well as her children: Cole (Jessica) Guyton, Elizabeth Adams, Taylor Adams, and Paige Huckeba; brothers, Russell and David Guyton. Greta was also a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Magnolia Guyton. Greta cherished her role as a grandmother and derived immense joy from spending time with her family.
Greta had an unwavering spirit who loved being outdoors surrounded by blooming flowers. She possessed a spontaneous nature and always put the needs of others before her own. Known for her immaculate home, she took pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for all. A true social butterfly, Greta never met a stranger and had a contagious warmth that endeared her to everyone she encountered. She was the quintessential daddy's girl and held a lifelong affection for Panama City Beach, a place where she created many cherished memories.
Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home on September 5, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 PM on the same day, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Greta will be laid to rest at County Line Methodist Church Cemetery. Cole Guyton, Merek Mosley, Kevin Allen, Dakota Perry, Chris Vanpelt, and Matt Wanner will serve as pallbearers.
Greta Lynn Adams leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. In this time of mourning, let us celebrate her life and the beautiful memories she has left us.
