Gloria Jean Tuttle

Gloria Jean King Tuttle, age 79, of Mableton, Georgia, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Gloria was born on March 5, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late William "Bill" and Marjorie "Marge" King, and was the oldest of four children. She graduated from Decatur Central High School & then went on to work at Bridgeport Brass Company in Indiana. This is where she met her future husband, Richard "Dick" Tuttle, who was a Salesman for Bridgeport Brass in Atlanta. They married in 1967 and eventually settled in Mableton, Ga where they raised their two daughters. During this time, she began her over 40-year career with State Farm until her retirement in 2012.

Gloria was a natural caregiver from an early age. She was active in her girls' activities as she volunteered in the PTA & as a School Nurse in their Elementary School years. She was a Girl Scout leader in the Sleepy Hollow service unit for over 10 years. She took pride in taking care of her home & loved spending time with family & friends, often hosting celebrations & get-togethers. She enjoyed crafting & making presents for family & friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises or weekend getaways to the lake house in Wedowee, Alabama. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, and friend.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of over 52 years, Richard Miller Tuttle. They are now together forever, reunited in paradise.

Gloria is survived by her children Angela "Angie" Tuttle of Dallas, GA, Amy (Chris) Fowler of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren Andrew Fowler & Ashley Fowler; brother Jerry (Mary) King of Indianapolis, IN; sister Joyce King-Hargis of Largo, FL; sister Janet (Jessie) Spears of Largo, FL as well as an aunt, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and precious friends.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to her caregivers at Silver Comet Village for their tender love & grace over the last two years & especially these last few weeks. Thank you to Inspire Hospice & Visiting Angels for their additional care & support as well.

Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia, on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and again on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The funeral service will be in the Sam Clark Chapel at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2026, with Pastor Glenn Petero officiating. Gloria will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery, located at 1680 Westview Dr. SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30310, at 2:00 PM following the funeral service.
