Gloria "Jeannie" Jean Crane

Gloria "Jeannie" Scott Crane, 78, of Bremen, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2026. Born February 2, 1948, in Rome, Georgia, Jeannie lived a life rooted in faith, family, love, and the simple joys that made life special.

Jeannie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 59 years of marriage with the love of her life, Michael L. Crane, whom she married on September 9, 1967, at Mableton Church of God.

Above all, Jeannie loved God. Her faith was not simply something she talked about it was woven into the way she loved people. She had a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and important. Her smile could light up even the darkest of days, and when she saw you, you could feel how genuinely happy she was to see you.

Jeannie had a special love for yard sales, antiques, and a good deal. If Jeannie found something she thought you might like, chances were good that you were going home with it...whether you wanted it or not! Those little tokens were never really about the things themselves. They were her way of saying, "I saw this and thought of you." And that was Jeannie.

Her greatest treasures were her family. She leaves behind her husband, Michael L. Crane; her children, Cindy McBride (Ed McBride) and Jeremy Crane (Sunny Crane); her grandchildren, Chase McBride(Alex McBride), Katie McBride, Shannon McBride, Isaac Crane (Catherine Crane, and Zyler Crane; and her great-granddaughter, Evelyn McBride. She is also survived by her sister, Joni Wallace.

Jeannie was a beloved daughter of John P. Scott and Gladys M. Harper Scott. She spent 30+ years serving with the Paulding County School District.

Visitation for Jeannie will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor John Butler officiating. Jeannie will be laid to rest in Mt. Vernon Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeannie's name to the Mt. Vernon Cemetery Fund. Donations can be sent to the care of Ben Paris at 163 Handy Rd. Hiram, GA 30141.

Those who knew Jeannie will remember her for how she made people feel. She gave generously, loved deeply, laughed easily, and never met a stranger she couldn't make feel like family.

Her earthly life may have come to an end, but the love she gave so freely will continue through the family she cherished, the people she touched, and the countless little treasures she left behind, each one carrying a memory of her.

Jeannie loved God most of all. And now, she is finally home.
