Gierbolinick Garcia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gierbolinick Garcia, who left us on May 10, 2026, just days shy of his 67th birthday. He was born on May 18, 1959, in Yasica, Dominican Republic, to the late Jose Garcia and Dulce Garcia-Castaño.

Gierbolinick grew up in the Bronx, New York, where he developed a lifelong passion for baseball, often finding joy in watching the game and its many thrilling moments. He received a scholarship to play college baseball, furthering his love of the game. His true love was the New York Yankees.

Gierbolinick is survived by his loving siblings: brothers Darinel Garcia, Juan Garcia, and Samuel Garcia; Sisters, Isabel (Gilbert) Flecha, Yohanny Garcia-Ashley (Eric Bruce), and Ana Garcia; along with several nieces and nephews. His family remains forever grateful for the time spent with Gierbolinick and the love he shared with everyone around him.

A memorial service to honor Gierbolinick's life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Sam Clark Chapel. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation at Clark Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM on the same day.
