Frederick "Fred" Eassey passed away February 14, 2022. He was born on September 2, 1942 to the late Ellis and Roberta Eassey. Fred was a United States Air Force Veteran who served from 1959 to 1963. He was also a member of the Georgia Masons for over 50 years at the Mableton Lodge. After serving, Fred became an electrician working with IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He did this for many, many years before retiring in 2001 so he could focus on his main love; restoring old muscle cars. He has restored over 100 cars and some were featured in Hot Rod Magazine. Besides working on cars, Fred racing at the South Eastern International Drag Way in Dallas, Ga. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who could fix anything. As Fred would say, "I'm big and strong and handsome too, there's nothing I can't do!"
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Michael Eassey, Joyce Johnston, and Shirley Huddleston. He is survived by his loving wife; Louise Eassey, his sons; Jeff (Cindy) Eassey and Roger Eassey, his brother; Robert Eassey, granddaughter; Brittany Souphanh, great grandchildren; London Souphanh, and August Souphanh.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral Services for Mr. Eassey will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor George Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery with Bobby Cole, Josh Lee, Ben Tepedino, Robby Eassey, Nathan Gowder, and Kevin Wheeler serving as pallbearers.
