Frankie Howell

Frankie "Frank" Bruce Howell, a beloved husband, father, Opa, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 27, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Frank lived a life full of adventure, love, and warmth.

Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, followed by a fulfilling 29-year career as a flight simulator technician with Delta Airlines. His deep passion for aviation was rivaled only by his love of family and the outdoors. Whether fishing, boating, or building something with his hands, Frank found joy in the simple things. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a smile, or brighten a gathering with his favorite rock music. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit made him a friend to everyone he met.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Cindy Howell; his parents, Bruce and Elizabeth Howell; his children: Bruce (Christina) Howell, Jennifer Dougherty (Eric Knight), Christine (Blake) Herrin, and Katie Beam; and his grandchildren: Lily Dougherty, Kyle Howell, Violet Dougherty, Emma Beam, Wes Howell, Oliver Howell, Abigail Beam, James Beam, Christian Morgan, and Major Knight.

He is also survived by his sisters, Inge (Jeff) McGrath and Lisa Pittrich; sisters-in-law, Penny Siess and Karen (David) Tharpe; dear friends, Ron (Angela) Newsome; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Frank will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate to know and love him.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
