Floyd Temples

"Paw Paw Ricky" Floyd R. Temples, age 74 of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025. He was born May 29, 1951 in Hickory, North Carolina, son of the late Floyd Lucius Temples and the late Bobbie Ann Slater Temples.

He was self-employed in the construction industry for over 50 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a big talker who never met a stranger. His zest for life shone through his love of boating and fishing. He cherished the time spent on the water, casting lines and creating memories with family and friends. He loved collecting guns, but his greatest love was his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rad Howren.

Survivors include his wife, Lana Hand; two daughters, Samantha Ann Temples and Jeannine (Larry) Jernigan; two sons, Ron (Wendy) Temples and Scott (Kathy) Howren; five grandchildren, Timothy Piepmeier, Nick Piepmeier, Jessie Cargile, Little Ricky Temples and Amanda Lynn Jernigan; three great-grandchildren, Jaynce Spikes, Paislee Delaney and Rae Rae Delaney; two sisters, Renee (Brad) Davis and Traci Marie Temples; brother, Barry (Micki) Temples; several nieces and nephews; his fur babies, Bella and Grey; and so many friends in the tribe.

A celebration of life for Mr. Temples will be held at a later date.
