Lynn Mulkey

January 28, 1953 — April 11, 2024

Everett "Lynn" Mulkey passed away on April 11, 2024. He was born on January 28, 1953, to the late John Mulkey and Jo "Harris" Mulkey in Atlanta, Georgia. Lynn worked for Southern Company for 45 years and was also a worship leader for over 40 years. Lynn loved our Lord Jesus and was a devoted servant who would minister to anyone. Lynn was incredibly gifted with music and was a singer-song writer as well as an author. His funny, creative, bright, and generous personality led him to never meet a stranger and he made many wonderful friends throughout his life.

Family was of upmost importance and he was very supportive of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He showed up for every event and made sure to be their biggest cheerleader. He enjoyed camping with them and seeing each of them thrive whether in school, sports, or in their professional lives. Lynn was known for being a butt dialer, but his greatest trait was being an incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, John Mulkey and Jo Mulkey "Harris", his stepfather, James Harris Sr., and his brother, John Richard Mulkey Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Mulkey; their four children, Nathan (Tina) Mulkey, Joy (Tony) Croft, Dawn Hunsinger, and Angela (Marco) Alfaro; brother, Gary (Connie) Mulkey; step-brother, James (Christine) Harris Jr.; step-sister, Cindy Gail Harris; sister-in-law, Susan Mulkey; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces; and four nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel with Reverend Phil Miller and Reverend Steven Devall officiating. His service will be live-streamed on our Facebook page beginning at service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lynn's honor towards Samaritan's Purse or Coates Ministry in East Africa.

Clark Funeral Home is honored to care for the Mulkey family during this difficult time.
